Oahu Junk Removal Team Joins Forces With Ocean Defenders & Cleans Up Kaneohe Bay in Hawaii

Kana'i's Junk Removal and Ocean Defenders Alliance united for a transformative beach cleanup at He'eia Pier, removing critical pollutants including 39 tires and thousands of feet of fishing line, showcasing community-driven efforts to safeguard Oahu's marine life.

The event, which took place on a sunny Sunday morning in March, drew 35 volunteers who dedicated their time to removing harmful waste from the local marine environment.

Together, the team successfully extracted 39 tires, over 2,000 feet of fishing line, 50 fishing hooks and lures, and 50 pounds of other debris, significantly reducing the potential harm to marine life.
